Brad Loved Green Bay. We Both Loved Milwaukee!!

Our Midwest travels took us back to Wisconsin. As you would guess, Green Bay, is all about the Packers. Milwaukee, was one of our surprise greatest cities. We drove close to 350 miles between the two stops. The weather was absolutely gorgeous all seven days there.
Our highlights were plentiful. We really-really dug our tour of Lambeau Field ( yes, Kathy too). In Milwaukee, we toured the Historic Pabst Brewery, the Harley Davidson Museum, The Rivefront, and wound up in the Third Ward like three-four times. Plus, we bought alot of cheese. Our first RV Park was fantastic.
It was very well kept, private, had a pond right behind our spot, and it had it's own waterfall and historic structures to boot.
Before we take you on our tour of Lambeau Field, it's worth mentioning we bought three cheeses at the Scray Cheese Co. but we were too late for the factory tour. This was the first of our two Wisconsin cheese purchases. Plus, we took a Fox River State Park bike ride that happened to pass by Vince Lombardi's house.
Just before our Lambeau tour, Kathy tolerated us taking the Oneida Nation Walk of Legends (which we drove) and the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame. She is the ultimate giver!
The Harley Davidson Company started in Milwaukee. The museum tells their story, shares their history, and features Harley's of every year of it's existence. Including the original bike built in 1903.
Pabst Blue Ribbon in the early 1900's was the number one selling beer in the world. Not just in America. Yes, the true "king of beers" at the time. We took a tour of the original brewery. The guy that toured us was one of the investors in the purchase of the brand in the 2014. He liked his beer and we had one with him.
We wound up in the Third Ward. First was to go to the Milwaukee Public Market, second for a beer, and the third time for dinner. It was a happening area.
After a beer and a sausage plate at the Brat House we went across the street to Unsingers to buy some sausage. We saw the huge Unsinger sign a half dozen times in our drives downtown so we had to check it out. We bought a bunch of brat and sausage that was very reasonably priced and tasty as heck. Conveniently, a cheese store was right next door. Here are some pics from the Riverfront. Yes, Happy Days the TV show was based in the city so they had a Fonzi statue to commemorate the hit series.
It made for a cohesive Milwaukee visit, so we went to Captain Pabst's mansion. Heck, we went to his brewery, we might as well see what it bought him.
Marquette University is in town so we decided to take a look-see. We didn't realize it was a Jesuit college until we toured it. The highlight was a 14th century chapel dedicated to Joan of Arc. It was relocated from Italy and gifted to the University. When we got there, a professor was talking with some folks. When the professor was done with them he took us in and provided history and spiritual input to Joan of Arc and the Chapel. Even the Jew was intrigued!
A couple more University pics we thought were view worthy.
The Campground in Milwaukee sucked. It was a State Fair Ground that consisted of a parking lot with a bunch of old, beat-up trailers and motor homes. It was a goof going from such a beautiful campground to a real dump. All part of the journey!
Our next stop is Chicago. We can't wait to share our experience there with you. It truly lived up to it's reputation as a fantastic city.
We're three weeks and ten more stops away from the end of our trip around the world. Thanks for reading down this far.
