About Us...If you really want to know?

If you don't know us already, permit us to introduce ourselves! We are Brad and Kathy Axelrod. That's Brad on the left and Kathy on the right...just in case you needed additional detail. Brad retired in September of 2019 after selling his comedy production company (Treehouse Comedy) and Kathy retired from the Regional Water Authority in July of 2021. Actually, this is the second time she is retired.  Kathy also retired from Southern Connecticut Gas Company after thirty-nine and a half years there.

We are 16 months into our one and a half year (two year) tour of the USA. We are on a 46 state nationwide adventure in our 2018 Fleetwood Bounder 35K. The first leg of our trip will take us 560 days, over 25,000 miles with 163 scheduled stops. We"re currently 115 stops in and 11,000 miles total in 37 different states. We might have to check that 25K projected miles piece?!!? Somethings not quite right with the math there.

Between the two of us we have five grown children (32-39 yrs old) along with six grandkids (1 through 14 yrs old). One of the hardest parts of our journeys been leaving them all behind. We told them for the next couple years we're going to be "selfish" and that they can join us at any destination on our voyage as long as we're not double booked.

We bought our RV in the summer of 2020 after flying to Oklahoma and drove it back to CT. We took the scenic route and did that in thirteen days. Prior, we owned a C-Class Fleetwood Jamboree for about 8 years or so. That's when we realised this is what we wanted to do after we both stopped working.
